FAR ROCKAWAY PHASE 1 – BLOCK B & C

The Far Rockaway Village is a multi-phase project for which Standard Concrete & Excavation is contracted to perform the SOE, excavation and foundation scope of work.  Buildings B and C, covering approximately 100,000 square feet, is a multifaceted operation including  mass excavation in coordination with demolition, pile drilling, pile driving, underpinning, tiebacks and foundation construction.

Scope of work:

• Drilled HP 14×102 SOE piles within 75’ of MTA tunnel supported by tieback system
• Driven HP 14×102 & HP 12×53 supported by double channel and hollow bar tieback system.
• 25’ plus excavation including 80,000+ CY of soil and debris removal.
• Onsite staging and installation of 12,000+ CY of onsite backfill materials.
• 10,000+CY of concrete including Foundation Walls, Buttress, Elevator & Ejector Pits, Structural Mats, Slab on Grade, Tunnel and Ramp Structures
